Priya and Sunny: All Fun & Games

There's never a dull moment around Priya and Sunny...always gregarious, fun loving and generous, they are a delight to be around. And today they didn't disappoint...we headed off to Dave & Busters to let the "soon to be married" couple enjoy a fun night on the town. From ice cream sundaes to games of pool to shooting some hoope...they were smiles all round for this much deserved break between wedding planning.

Here are some of the shots from the night...Priya and Sunny we can't wait for the wedding! We'll have our dancing shoes on and oh of course cameras ready to capture the magic of your day!

Baby Gweyn and the Martin Family

This weekend we got to visit one of our most favorite babies in the whole world and enjoy the company of her family as well. From the delightful green tea cupcakes to late nights playing card games, to cuddling with baby we had a blast. We wanted to share with all of you some of our fav shots from the weekend. :)

Photos in the Rough

Weddings. We love shooting weddings. We usually average about 2000 shots, which takes several days to process. This can be an overwhelming process especially since there are so many great shots to choose from. Whittling this down to about 150-250 shots in which to make an album often results in some real gems ending up on the cutting room floor. Going back through the photo's of Haley & Steven's wedding we discovered one of these hidden gems.

This photo was taken at the start of the reception. Friends and family crowded around the happy couple and promptly began tossing them sky high. To avoid falling bodies we hung back and watched in amazement as dancing circles popped up all around us. We retreated to the stage, this being the last refuge from partying mayhem. To our photographic joy it afforded us a unique perspective upon an incredible dance floor. We immediately caught the wide angle of the dancing and captured the candid emotion of perhaps the funnest part of the day.

Was it luck, self preservation, or just good timing. We like to think it was a bit of all three... and want to give props to our photographic guardian angel.

Rock Out with Your Buns Out

Here at Kumari, we love music and of course love food! So when the TVA (Toronto Vegetarian Association)   combined them together, it was pure genius!...we just had to be there!

Ahhh we're still dreaming of the vegan truffles from Boardwalk Choclates, coconut cream drenched cinnamon buns (aka heaven), and delightful cupcakes...we sure were happily ridin' a sugar high as we clicked away trying to  capture the vibe of the event.

After we inhaled a whole bakery we were off to shoot the amazing musicians. The Boat (a slick upstairs hideaway, located in Toronto's Kennsington Market) provided the backdrop and the talented musicians provided great groves, which give us a chace to dance away thoes recently adopted calories.
